Halloween Preview

Anne has managed to come through (again) for Cian's Halloween costume...

As a background, first he was Elvis, then Thomas the Tank Engine, then a dinosaur and now this year a dragon. THe great part about is that she makes the costumes herself -- and does a wonderful job at it too.

Here is the photos of the first unveiling of the costume:

They call this progress?

The primary cause of all the mayhem recently has to be the kitchen... What starts out as a nice idea, quickly evolves into a design that costs you a frigging arm and a leg (of each member of the household).... And then rapidly dissolves into chaos and a sharp realization of "what the hell were we thinking?"

So we went 5 weeks without water in the kitchen -- so what you say? Try bending over a fucken bathtub for 5 weeks washing plates, knives, cups etc etc. Needless to say the Riedel glasses were NOT used. We even got tired of eating out...
Our usually kind demeanor was definitely getting thin come the end of the 5 weeks --- "whadya mean the water is not going to be turned on TODAY"... Or the one classic was "I don't care what the fucking contract says"...

The whole process has been a real eye opener -- and now we are close but still not done...

The photos below should give some idea of what is going on --- these are about a week old now -- and since these we have the floor in, the stove back, a new fridge in place and all the new lights in too... I'll take some photos in the next few days of the almost complete situation...
And remember the original photos of where we were a month ago are here in an earlier post.

Autumn is here

Lots to try and write -- but most fun of all has to be the annual play in the leaves in Laurelhurst Park. It's becoming a family tradition -- and with the weather we've been having, this is a wonderful year for it!
