Every year we have tried to get photos of Cian at our local Laurelhurst Park as he frolicks in the leaves. So this weekend, with Anne in Seattle and only the boys ruling the roost, we decided it was time to go roll in the leaves -- and basically bury ourselves with Autmn. Rumors that Monsieur Wenger will be on a flight to Portland directly after Tuesday's Champions League game are currently unfounded.
However if that is the case -- it seems a coincidence that that would coincide with Cian's soccer class.
"No comment", was all that Cian would muster when the question was put directly to him.
Well -- anyway -- I think these photos say it all.
The summer 2005 splurge was all about Vancouver Island -- we rented a house right on a cliffside close to Sooke Harbor. What a wonderful place. Watched orkas, seals and generally worked hard at chillin' out. Photos are here.

Colum managed to coincide his 50th 40th birthday with an Oscar nomination for Best Live action short film - Everything in this Country Must.
What a celebration we had! We even managed to transform Colum into a good singer -- it took lots of digital equipment -- but doesn't everyone need support.

Autumn 2004 was the trip of all trips. We rented a beautiful farmhouse in Tuscany, close to Montepulciano. What a wonderful trip. Wonderful is all I can say -- well I could say more... It only rained one day over 6 weeks while we were there; we avoided the tourist traps; hiked from Montepulciano to Pienza; saw a great football game (Roma V Inter Milan); drank wonderful wine; eat enough meat and cheese to make us want to eat greens when we got home....So the photos (there's quite a few) are sorted out below -- get going:
