Autumnal Colo(u)rs

It's that wonderful time of year again n Portland -- 70 degrees (21 C) with blue skies. Brisk winds. Leaves on the ground.

Every year we have tried to get photos of Cian at our local Laurelhurst Park as he frolicks in the leaves. So this weekend, with Anne in Seattle and only the boys ruling the roost, we decided it was time to go roll in the leaves -- and basically bury ourselves with Autmn. Click on the photo to see more....

Barcelona

Well July brought us to Barcelona for Justin and Orlaith's wedding ---- for which I had the honour of being Best Man. Wow -- they had a fantstic event -- and we took the time to spend two weeks floating around the city.
You'll see some shots of Cian in his Arsenal jersey -- which often got many comments from locals and everyone assumed Cian's favourite player was Henry -- but once Cian started babbling about Cesc Fabregas and Jose Antonio, the eyebrows were raised. No one expected a little Yank from Portland to be able to wax lyrical about the Spanish boys!
Anyway, I blogged earlier about our trip and our impressions of the city -- so here are some follow up photos.

Sweet Tuscany

Autumn 2004 was the trip of all trips. We rented a beautiful farmhouse in Tuscany, close to Montepulciano. What a wonderful trip. Wonderful is all I can say -- well I could say more... It only rained one day over 6 weeks while we were there; we avoided the tourist traps; hiked from Montepulciano to Pienza; saw a great football game (Roma V Inter Milan); drank wonderful wine; eat enough meat and cheese to make us want to eat greens when we got home....

So the photos (there's quite a few) are sorted out below -- get going:

The old site collection of photos is here -- but otherwise you can check out:

Our pictures of the "house"

Hans and Verena hung out for a week

Sean and Sally spent some quality time too

Places we were hanging out in

Cian's rough guide to Europe is here

General family shots are here

Our time in London with Katterli

Hanging out with Ciana and Conor in London

And of course -- the slide in London Zoo
