So.. what's next?
Well it seems that every website is telling us there are only 4 days and 18 hours to go until the World Cup starts.
Strangely -- I think there are 9 - 10 teams I could legitimately shout for (ranging from Ghana to Holland to Ivory Coast to US)... and all because of some Arsenal representation (aside from the US of course).
Alas -- if I stick to those rules, then I need to be somewhat encouraging to England -- what with queer boy Cole and colossal Campbell both bound to see some action.
There is a wealth of great content on line, that I want to recommend:
- The BBC's site does a great job
- Have you seen their updated Mini Motty?
- Or seen their World Cup Daq -- invest $10,000 in teams and watch your portfolio tank.
- Their blog is a blast too (who would've known that there has been such a rush on Trinidad and Tobago shirts because all the Scots have been buying them up!)
- Then of course there are the ESPN ads for the World Cup -- which the lads from U2 seem to have lent their voices (and music) to. Great ads.... Difficult to get to though.. Click on the link and then on Enter -- and then a pop up window will arrive and choose any of the four ads. Then select "View Spot" on the bottom right hand side...Nice!
- TV COVERAGE:
- BBC & ITV coverage is here
- Here in the US - ABC will air 12 games, ESPN will air 21 games, and ESPN2 will air 31 games, in both standard definition and high definition Univision Communications will broadcast 56 games live on Univision and 8 games live on TeleFutura, all in Spanish, with no commercial interruptions during play, in standard definition ONLY.
So as I find more fun stuff -- I'll update it! But bring on Friday!
