It's that wonderful time of year again n Portland -- 70 degrees (21 C) with blue skies. Brisk winds. Leaves on the ground.
Every year we have tried to get photos of Cian at our local Laurelhurst Park as he frolicks in the leaves. So this weekend, with Anne in Seattle and only the boys ruling the roost, we decided it was time to go roll in the leaves -- and basically bury ourselves with Autmn. Well July brought us to Barcelona for Justin and Orlaith's wedding ---- for which I had the honour of being Best Man. Wow -- they had a fantstic event -- and we took the time to spend two weeks floating around the city.
You'll see some shots of Cian in his Arsenal jersey -- which often got many comments from locals and everyone assumed Cian's favourite player was Henry -- but once Cian started babbling about Cesc Fabregas and Jose Antonio, the eyebrows were raised. No one expected a little Yank from Portland to be able to wax lyrical about the Spanish boys!
Anyway, I blogged earlier about our trip and our impressions of the city -- so here are some follow up photos.
Rumors that Monsieur Wenger will be on a flight to Portland directly after Tuesday's Champions League game are currently unfounded.
However if that is the case -- it seems a coincidence that that would coincide with Cian's soccer class.
"No comment", was all that Cian would muster when the question was put directly to him.
Well -- anyway -- I think these photos say it all.
Boy I just love this photo -- it was taken during our trip to LA for colum's birthday bash.... But that trip wasn't all about Colum ---- Cian managed to get around a fair bit too. Photos are here.

Colum managed to coincide his 50th 40th birthday with an Oscar nomination for Best Live action short film - Everything in this Country Must.
What a celebration we had! We even managed to transform Colum into a good singer -- it took lots of digital equipment -- but doesn't everyone need support.
